This Wild Adventure, Roar & Restore in Kenya: Bush to Beach with Coach Lexi, is an immersive Kenyan adventure that fuses raw, outdoor training with intentional recovery in some of Africa’s most breathtaking landscapes. Your journey begins in the wild — sunrise strength sessions on the savanna, mobility flows under vast open skies, and full-body conditioning inspired by the rhythm of nature. Expect functional workouts, endurance challenges, and mindset coaching designed to build resilience, confidence, and unstoppable energy. This is where you reconnect with your power — grounded, gritty, and fully alive.

You’ll be staying in a beautiful eco-safari lodge set within an active wildlife corridor leading to Amboseli National Park — the natural pathway animals use as they move across the land. Wildlife roams freely through the area, creating an authentic, unscripted bush experience unlike anywhere else.

The camp is owned and run by local members of the Maasai tribe, and throughout our stay we’ll be eating and living alongside the warriors, making the experience truly immersive. You won’t just witness the culture — you’ll share space, stories, and daily life within it. It’s raw, connected, and deeply rooted in community, offering a rare opportunity to live within the wild rather than simply observe it.

Then we shift from roar to restore. After pushing your limits in the bush, you’ll recover along Kenya’s stunning coastline with ocean-side training, beach circuits, restorative mobility, and incredible African sunsets over the Indian Ocean. Think salt air, barefoot movement, nourishing meals, and deep recovery designed to help your body rebuild stronger than before.

During our coastal stay, you may also have the unforgettable opportunity to take part in a sea turtle release into the Indian Ocean, snorkel vibrant reefs on a guided ocean tour, and unwind on powder-soft white sand beaches framed by crystal-clear turquoise water. It’s the perfect contrast to the wild bush — expansive, calming, and breathtakingly beautiful. You leave not only fitter and leaner, but clearer, calmer, and reignited — transformed by the journey from raw strength to coastal flow.

Lexi Z Schmidt is a Holistic Nutritionist and Level 2 CrossFit Trainer in Denver, Colorado. Lexi has been in the health and wellness space for over 10 years and has a huge passion for all things related to health and fitness! She launched her own nutrition coaching company called LZS Nutrition Ltd in 2019, primarily specializing in gut & hormone health, in addition to working with athletes.

Lexi also has just as great of a passion for international travel! She has visited over 40 countries and has a goal of reaching 100 countries with her husband! She loves to be immersed in culture, explore off the beaten path places and most of all, taste all the local cuisine! Some of her most favorite countries that she's visited include Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Chile, Slovenia and Finland.

Merging her love for travel and wellness with Wild Adventures Co is a dream come true! Her goal is to inspire others to get outside of their comfort zones, go see the world and stay healthy while doing it!

DAY 1

Arrival & Welcome

Welcome to Kenya! Arrive and be greeted by our airport concierge before a smooth transfer to the hotel, a 5-star Nairobi experience in the Westlands neighborhood. Enjoy your welcome swag, settle in, and ease into the experience with a grounding Welcome Circle. We’ll kick things off with a group workout and mobility session, then head out for a relaxed evening of connection and dinner together.

DAY 2

into the wild

After breakfast, we travel to Amboseli Discovery Camp. Lunch awaits on arrival, followed by an afternoon workout and mobility to keep the body feeling good after travel. The day wraps with a magical bush dinner under the African sunset.

DAY 3

safari & Sweat

Start the morning with a sunrise safari, then enjoy breakfast back at camp. Late morning brings a focused workout, followed by lunch and downtime. Take a dip in the pool during your downtime and watch Zebras meander to the nearby watering hole. Your morning safari gives you an opportunity to see the big cats at dawn, your evening safari gives you an opportunity to see the park before the suns sets, as the wilderness begins to come alive again. As the sun sets, we gather for dinner and a classic sundowner experience. The wildlife is never too far, as the grounds for the safari lodge are open to the wild - allowing animals to wander in and out as they please. A reminder we are in their territory. 


DAY 4

culture & Connection

Optional early hot air balloon ride for breathtaking views. Afterward, we move through a workout and breakfast before heading out on a walking and bird safari. The afternoon highlights local culture with a hands-on bead-making class with local women from the Maasai tribe, ending with dinner together.


DAY 5

from safari to sea

After breakfast, we transfer back toward Nairobi and continue on to the coast to explore Kenya’s sexiest beach town, Diani Beach. Lunch and a light workout are woven into the journey. We arrive at Nomad Beach Club, settle in, and enjoy dinner at the iconic Salty Squid overlooking the Indian Ocean sunset.


DAY 6

Morning workout and breakfast set the tone before a guided snorkeling tour. Swim with turtles and play with dolphins. The rest of the day is yours to relax by the ocean. Dinner is at the unforgettable Ali Barbour’s Cave Restaurant.

If the timing works in our favor, we may be able to see an early morning turtle release. 

DAY 7

Hike Shimbah Hills

A hike through Shimba Hills National Reserve winds you through lush coastal rainforest, rolling green hills, and quiet trails where you might spot sable antelope or elephants in the distance. The reward is reaching Sheldrick Falls, where you can descend into a cool, hidden waterfall oasis and feel completely immersed in wild Kenya.

Spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing or exploring DIania.
